ABUJA — THE African Civil Society Forum, AFRICSOF, in collaboration with T-Jos Signature has officially unveiled Aiyenuro Joshua for a Guinness World Record attempt in the longest barbing marathon.
Mr. Joshua, an official barber of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, is set to make history with this incredible feat.

The event is scheduled to take place from June 10 to 17, 2025, at the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
According to AFRICSOF President/Chief Executive, Amb. Blessing Akinlosotu, the collaboration aims to drive and actualize a continental vision of empowering African youth through skills revolution.

Akinlosotu noted that Africa’s underrepresentation in the Guinness World Records, with only a handful of listings out of 60,000 record holders as of 2022, has become an open challenge to AFRICSOF.
“We are passionate about changing this narrative and investing energy and resources to make this project a success,” he said.
The partnership between AFRICSOF and T-Jos Signature marks a strategic departure from conventional programming, focusing on promoting and managing talented Africans with lofty aspirations.
