World record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan, will continue her 2025 outdoor season on Sunday as she lines up for the fourth leg of the Wanda Diamond League in Rabat, Morocco, having been officially listed among the event’s entries, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The 28-year-old was originally scheduled to compete at the World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China, earlier this month, but was unable to attend following the Athletics Federation of Nigeria’s withdrawal.

She will now make her second Diamond League appearance of the year, having previously opened her season in Xiamen, China, on April 26, where she finished fourth in 12.74 seconds behind Danielle Williams (Jamaica), Grace Stark (USA), and Marione Fourie (South Africa).

Amusan, who was also a no-show at last week’s Atlanta City Games in Georgia, where she had been officially been announced to compete, featured in the second Diamond League meet in Shanghai, China on May 3, where she placed fourth behind America’s Grace Stark, Danielle Williams of Jamaica, and Marione Fourie of South Africa.

She was absent at the third instalment of the Diamond League held in Doha, Qatar, on May 16, as the women’s 100m hurdles was not part of the line-up of disciplines on offer in the Gulf state.

An impressive showing in this weekend’s meet in Rabat, will put Amusan in good stead as the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan approaches in the month of September.

Asides the participation of Amusan, the athletics meet in the capital of Morocco will feature some of the world’s very best athletes in track and field.

Dutch queen Femke Bol will hope to get her outdoor season off to a winning start at this weekend’s Diamond League in Morocco.

 Bol is the indoor 400m world record holder but will compete in the single-lap hurdles, as she bids to add a fifth Diamond League crown in the North African country.

Botswana’s bundle of talent, Letsile Tebogo will be challenged by a number of strong sprinters as he doubles up in the 200m and 100m, including the USA’s Erriyon Knighton, Kenya’s Ferdinand Omanyala, and a South African duo of 400m world record holder, Wayde van Niekerk (200m) and Akani Simbine (100m).

However, the current world and Olympic champion in the men’s 100m, Noah Lyles, will be absent in Morocco.
