Dutch-based starlet, David Stockbrink, has stormed the Nigeria Flying Eagles camp in preparation for the forthcoming FIFA Under 20 World Cup, scheduled to hold in Chile from September 27 to October 20, 2025.
The 18-year-old rising star, who was born to a German father and a Nigerian mother, today joined coach Aliyu Zubairu’s training session, which is ongoing at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch, Abuja.
Having variously laced his boots for the Dutch side, Furtuna Sittard, Stockbrink looks forward to bringing positivity, composure and exposure to the squad.
The attacker, with his goal-scoring prowess, however, hinted that his arrival is to showcase his ability and cement a relationship with the rest of the team.
Expressing further, the player whose 2025 Africa Youth Championship outing was halted due to injury, disclosed readiness to ensure he emerges cynosure of all eyes when the campaign kicks off next month.

“It’s a pleasure for me to join the rest of the squad.
The camp spirit has been high, and everyone is here to showcase talent.
The tournament isn’t going to be an easy task, and I’m sure that’s why the camp is thrown open for early preparation.”
“I ought to have made my debut earlier at the Africa Youth Championship, but my dream was halted owing to an injury I sustained a few days before the tourney, and I thank God and am back on my feet.”
