The star midfielder of the Nigeria U20 team of 2023 to the WAFU tournament and also the AFCON Onuche Ogbelu has drawn praises from the coach of Brazilian side Flamengo , OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Both teams met at the club world cup yesterday and the Brazilians walk away with a 2-0 win to get their campaign underway with a win. Ogbelu was on for the entire duration of the game.

Prior to the game, Luiz who has stings at Atletico Madrid and Chelsea during his playing days pointed out the Nigerian as the one who is very important to the way the Tunisians play.

“Ogbelu is a very important player for Esperance”, the coach said just before the game and the 22 year old didn’t disappoint as he held his own in the middle of the pitch for his side, despite the presence of seasoned veteran in ex Chelsea and Arsenal star Jorghinho up against him.

His praises was all over social media from fans of both teams after the game.
