Italy-born striker Tammy Abraham, who chose England over Nigeria, is set to join Besiktas from AS Roma in a €20 million deal, marking a new chapter in his career in Turkey.
Serie A-based striker Tammy Abraham, who chose to represent England over Nigeria internationally, is set to leave AC Milan for Turkish giants Besiktas in a permanent transfer reportedly worth around €20 million.
Abraham has confirmed the switch as he prepares to ditch the club after just one season following his transfer from AS Roma last season.

According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Besiktas and Milan have reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of Tammy Abraham, with the player accepting the move.
The 27-year-old is expected to fly to Turkey imminently to complete medicals and finalise the deal that will see him leave his fellow Nigerians Samuel Chukwueze and Fikayo Tomori.

This transfer will see Abraham join former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad as Besiktas look to bolster their attack for the upcoming season and Europa League qualifiers.
Abraham spent the 2024-25 season on loan at AC Milan, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists in 45 appearances.

Milan decided not to pursue a permanent deal, prompting the striker to seek a new challenge.
Roma, needing to balance their books to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, will benefit from the €20 million fee.

Born in London to Nigerian parents, Abraham was eligible to play for Nigeria but consistently expressed his commitment to England, having represented the Three Lions at youth and senior levels.
Despite interest from the Nigerian Football Federation, Abraham chose to pursue his international career with England.
