Aleksas Bieliauskas, a 6-foot-9 19-year-old Lithuanian forward, has committed to Wisconsin, a source confirmed to BadgerExtra. The news was first reported by ESPN.

The seventh incoming player for the Badgers next season (and fourth added since the start of this offseason), Bieliauskas averaged 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds with Zalgiris 2 of Lithuania’s National Basketball League (NKL). He communicated with Kansas before committing to the Badgers, a source said.

Zalgiris 2 is the reserve team for Zalgiris Kaunas, a Lithuanian professional team that rosters former NBA players Isaiah Wong and Ignas Brazdeikis, who formerly played in the Big Ten at Michigan. Bieliauskas appeared in three games for the main club during the 2024-25 season.

It’s not clear what role Bieliauskas will have upon joining Wisconsin.

He shot 39% from 3-point range last season and scored a season-best 27 points on March 1 against Jurbarkas.

A source described him as a physical player who could rebound as well as shoot from 3, with some versatile offensive potential.

While he can stretch the floor, in his best scoring performances, he excelled most inside the arc. He shot 58.8% from 2-point range last season.

Bieliauskas is the Badgers’ second addition to their frontcourt, also bringing in Portland transfer Austin Rapp to build around 7-foot building block Nolan Winter.

Forwards Steven Crowl, a four-year starter for Wisconsin, and Carter Gilmore, a key reserve in his final season, each used the last of their college eligibility last season. Another reserve forward, Xavier Amos, transferred to Loyola Chicago for his final collegiate season.
