Kenyan long-distance runner Agnes Ngetich has etched her name into athletics history by setting a new women-only 10km world record at the Adizero Road to Records event in Herzogenaurach, Germany, on April 26, 2025.

With a remarkable finish time of 29:27, Ngetich became the first woman to complete the distance in under 30 minutes, surpassing the previous record of 30:01 set by the late Agnes Tirop in 2021.
