Victor Osimhen seems set to leave Napoli permanently this summer transfer window after spending last season on loan at Galatasaray.

That temporary move to Istanbul only materialised after Chelsea tried and failed to sign the striker on transfer deadline day last September.

The Blues remain interested in Osimhen, however, football.london understands there are concerns over the Nigeria international’s wage demands.

An inability to convince him to lower those expectations to fit into Chelsea’s strict wage structure is understood to be why a deal collapsed last year.

However, the club are open to making exceptions for players who they deem special.

Sacha Tavolieri of Sky Sport CH now reports that Osimhen has agreed to a £89million, three-year contract with Al-Hilal that includes additional add-ons.

The reputed expectation is that the move will conclude before the exceptional registration period transfer window closes on 10 June.

Sky Sport (Italia) reporter Gianluca Di Marzio also reports the player has accepted an offer from the Saudi Pro League club, agreeing on personal terms.

However, the bid made to Napoli reputedly falls €5million (£4million) short of the €75miillion (£63million) they are demanding.

Ben Jacobs of GiveMeSport claims Al-Hilal remain cautious after it seemed a move was collapsing just 24 hours ago.

However, they are said to have scheduled a medical for Osimhen and want the player in Paris on Saturday to sign, while hoping to finalise a deal with Napoli over the weekend.

Al-Hilal want Osimhen signed in time to play at the Club World Cup, with talkSPORT recently claiming there is a belief they could allow a permanent or temporary departure for the former Fulham centre-forward Aleksandar Mitrovic. They and Chelsea are on opposite sides of the draw, so the teams could only play against each other Stateside this summer in the final on 13 July.
